The rules for reading this site

1. Who we are

Stakes and Spades publishes stakesandspades.com, an independent editorial site comparing online casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. We are not a gambling operator, we hold no gambling licence, and we are not a regulator or a dispute resolution service. Using this site does not create an account with anybody.

2. Age requirement

This site is for people aged 18 or over. By continuing to use it you confirm you meet that requirement. We do not knowingly provide content to under-18s, and if you are under 18 you should leave now.

3. What our information is and isn't

Everything published here is editorial opinion supported by our own checks on the dates shown. It is not advice — not legal, financial, or any other kind — and it is not a recommendation that you gamble.

Operators change their game libraries, apps, offers and terms whenever they choose, and often without notice. That means details on this site can fall out of date between our checks. Where anything here differs from an operator's own site or terms, the operator's version is the accurate one.

We do not promise that any operator will suit you, that any offer will still exist when you arrive, or that anything about gambling will go well. No content on this site should be read as suggesting gambling is a way to make money, because it is not.

4. Links to other sites

Operator links on this site are affiliate links and are marked as sponsored in the page code. Safety and regulator links are ordinary references. In every case, once you follow a link you are on somebody else's site, subject to their terms and their privacy practices, and we have no control over what they publish or how they behave. Their inclusion here is not a warranty about them.

5. Your account with an operator

We cannot help with anything to do with a gambling account: access, verification, balances, bonuses, closures or complaints. We have no visibility of any of it. Contact the operator's own support team, and if a complaint cannot be resolved, use the free alternative dispute resolution provider named in their terms.

6. Intellectual property

The text, layout, illustrations, brand mark and code on this site belong to Stakes and Spades unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing pages wholesale, scraping the comparison data, or reusing our illustrations without permission is not on.

Operator names and logos belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification in an editorial comparison. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement of this site by them, or by us of them beyond what the reviews actually say.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site up and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, move or remove pages. To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page changes when they do, and continued use after a change means the new version applies.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
